Hang a Banker
The press is reporting some G20 protesters in London have adopted slogans such as “Hang a Banker” and “Storm the Banks,” organizers of the London march said they wanted a peaceful day.
I say a good way of personal protest is to switch over your account to a local credit union. Most credit unions did not and no not do investment banking and shaky loans. Mostly they loan only to their local members. Credit unions also pay higher interest rates on money markets and CDs. Keep your money working locally, do not give it to a New York Bankster.
Of coarse always check out the rating of any credit union before opening an account and keep your money under the insured amounts, currently $250,000 per account. Once you have your accounts in the credit union or credit unions, then take your money out of the bank.
